I'm a Customer Looking for a PDF
This is a page for customers who were sent a PDF by their retailer, or who want their retailer to send them a PDF. Bits & Mortar doesn't send PDFs itself, so make sure your retailer of preference knows what's up.
If you’ve bought a qualifying book from an already participating Bits & Mortar retailer, they have the power to give you the PDF to go with that book. All they’ll need is your email address and a minute of time with a Web browser. Please talk to your retailer to get this sorted out; sometimes a little reminder of the program is all they need.
If that doesn’t work — though it should! — you can contact the publisher of the book you purchased to get your PDF, in some cases. This policy is up to the individual publisher—there are a number who will honor such a thing, like Evil Hat; but many do not, and require you to go through your retailer. Please refer to the relevant publisher’s website for contact details. If they do support this, make sure you have digital proof of purchase — typically a scanned receipt or a photo of you with the book — to help with such communications.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us and ask.
But I'm a Retailer!
If you are a retailer trying to figure out how to send PDFs, you may contact us for help failing all else. If you're definitely already a registered and approved retailer, log into your account and look for the "Send Files" link in the left-hand sidebar. If you're not yet registered, go to the Retailers page and follow the instructions to submit an application.
But I'm a Publisher!
Same thing as with the retailers, but you'll need to submit an application as a publisher instead if you haven't joined up yet. Go to the Publishers page and follow the instructions to submit an application.
